
Victorian, circa 1860. 12.2ins high, 7.9ins wide, 3.1ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery house which features a courting couple at the upstairs window and the girl's berated father with a pitchfork below, stood on a shaped base.
Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.
Vent holes to the underside.
CONDITION: Good. No restoration.
Some small flakes to front and reverse.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: touch mark to one man's hat and one barrel;
a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to reverse;
some crazing.
