
Victorian, circa 1860. 5.9ins high, 7.5ins wide, 5.9ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery egg tureen and cover which features a hen sitting on her eggs, seated on a basketweave oval base.
Multi-coloured version. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
CONDITION: Hen: Good. No restoration.
Small chips to lower base edge.
A few paint losses to tail feathers.
Nest: Good. Very slight wear to exterior;
stilt marks to the rim.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack to rim.
