Pair Pearlware Staffordshire 'Sports Man' & 'Archer' Figures

pre-Victorian, circa 1820. Tallest is 7.3ins high, 4.7ins wide, 2.8ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire Pottery pearlware bocage figures with a hunting theme which feature a huntsman with his dog and a female archer, stood on shaped bases.

The pieces are titled, 'SPORTSMAN' & 'ARCHER' to the fronts.

Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Open bottomed.

Condition

CONDITION: Male: Generally Good.

RESTORATION. Three branches and left arm reglued and joins retouched.

Both sections of bocage leaves remodelled to left side.

Retouched paint losses to black enamel and green jacket.

Female: Generally Good.

A few minor paint losses to target and quiver.

RESTORATION. Two branches to right side reglued and joins retouched.

Bow partially remodelled.

Some retouched paint losses to her left arm and left side of dress.

A few, small, filled chips to bocage.

Some retouched paint losses to ground.
