Mafra Palissy Majolica Lizard Plate

Victorian, circa 1890. 2.8ins high, 7.1ins wide, 7.1ins depth. Mafra Portuguese Palissy Majolica wall plate which features lizards and a beetle.

Colouration: green, brown, puce, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Mafra pottery.

CONDITION: Good.

Flaking to ground.

RESTORATION. Lizard's head reglued and join retouched.

Remodelled leg to beetle.
