
Circa 1890. 12.2ins high, 11ins wide, 11ins depth. French Palissy Majolica oyster stand which features four tiers of open oyster shells, laid on seaweed. Eel, fish and shell handle.
Colouration: brown, green, ochre, are predominant.
CONDITION: Good.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to a couple of the shells.
RESTORATION. Filled and retouched chips and flakes to three shell rims and eel's back.
