
Circa 1890. 12.2ins high, 12.2ins wide, 3.1ins depth. Mafra Portuguese Palissy Majolica wall plate which features fish caught in a net. Beetles, a moth and a grasshopper to the rim.
Colouration: green, brown, grey, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Mafra pottery.
CONDITION: Good.
A few minor chips and missing parts on the net.
Some flakes to the ground.
RESTORATION. Remodelled legs to grasshopper,
horn and legs on horn beetle.
Filled chips to the rope.
