
Victorian, circa 1890. 2.8ins high, 10ins wide, 7.3ins depth. Portuguese Palissy Majolica figural which features a toad.
Wall hanging holes to the reverse.
Colouration: green, ochre, brown, are predominant.
The piece bears marks which we cannot attribute to a particular source.
CONDITION: Generally good.
Some small flakes to head.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln grit caught in the glaze to hind left foot.
RESTORATION. Three legs reglued and joins retouched.
Retouched chips and flakes to all feet.
Retouched flakes to toads back and legs.
