Barbizet Palissy Crayfish, Snake And Lizard Plate

Circa 1890. 13.4ins high, 13.4ins wide, 3.3ins depth. Barbizet (attributed) French Palissy Majolica platter which features three crayfish, a snake, a lizard, seashells and leaves.

Colouration: cobalt blue, green, brown, are predominant.

Condition

CONDITION: Good.

KILN EFFECTS: a couple of shrinkage lines to the leaves.

RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack to rim, which goes through the left pincer of the grey crayfish.

One other crayfish leg restored.
