Large Jerome Massier Majolica Rooster

Circa 1890. 24ins high, 14.6ins wide, 9.4ins depth. Jerome Massier French Majolica figural which features a large rooster, crowing.

Colouration: ochre, puce, green, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Jerome Massier pottery.

Condition

CONDITION: Good.

Some small flakes to the rim of the vase.

Some flakes/abrasions to the tail.

Abrasion on the ruff.

KILN EFFECTS: small firing pits to the front of the neck.

RESTORATION. Filled chips to the comb.

Filled chip to beak.
