Wedgwood Majolica Mottled Center Plate

Victorian, circa 1872. 9.1ins high, 9.1ins wide, 0.8ins depth. Wedgwood Majolica plate which features mottled green and brown centre, surrounded by basket weave border.

Colouration: ochre, brown, green, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Wedgwood pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1168'.

Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1872.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration.

Scratches from use.

Wear to the high points of the molding.

KILN EFFECTS: tiny glaze pops to the interior.
