Pair Minton Majolica Daffodil Vases

Victorian, circa 1867. Tallest is 7.1ins high, 4.3ins wide, 4.3ins depth. Pair of Minton Majolica vases which feature daffodils stood on bulb feet.

Turquoise ground version. Colouration: turquoise, green, white, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1200'.

Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1867.

Condition

CONDITION: Vase 1: Generally good. KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze.

RESTORATION. Filled 2 chips to rim.

Stabilised and retouched hairline to rim.

Filled chips to petals and leaves.

Vase 2: Generally good. Tight hairline to rim.

KILN EFFECTS: over glazed shrinkage line to one leaf.

RESTORATION. Filled chip to rim.

Filled chips to leaves and petals.
