
Victorian, circa 1871. 16.3ins high, 15.7ins wide, 12.6ins depth. Minton Majolica vase which features two mermen (probably Sea God Neptune).
Colouration: cobalt blue, brown, cream, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1362'.
Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1871.
CONDITION: Good. No restoration.
Shallow chip to merman's head.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks to the mermen;
shrinkage line to the underside (not present on the upper surface);
stained crazing to the mermen.
