
Victorian, circa 1861. 5.9ins high, 11ins wide, 9.8ins depth. Minton Majolica chestnut server which features chestnuts and chestnut leaves.
Colouration: turquoise, green, brown, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '694'.
Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1861.
CONDITION: Generally good.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze misses to the handle;
a few specks of kiln grit caught in the glaze to the interior and handle.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched hairline to the well.
Filled chip to rim of chestnut shell.
