Longchamp Majolica Lobster Platter

Circa 1880. 14.6ins high, 14.6ins wide, 2.4ins depth. Longchamp Majolica wall plate which features lobsters on leaves, around the rim.

Colouration: red, green, cream, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Longchamp pottery. Bears a pattern number, '4 965'.

Condition

CONDITION: Good.

Wear to the high points of the molding.

KILN EFFECTS: glaze pops to the green ground.

RESTORATION. Remodelled one antennae to central lobster.

Retouched flake to one lobster.
