George Jones Majolica Dog under Oak Tree Compote

Victorian, circa 1870. 7.9ins high, 10.4ins wide, 7.3ins depth. George Jones Majolica compote which features a pointer stalking a bird, underneath and oak tree.

Turquoise ground version. Colouration: pink, brown, green, are predominant.

English diamond registration mark for the date 02/01/1870.

CONDITION: Good.

KILN EFFECTS: thin glaze application to the inner rim.

RESTORATION. Filled chip to dog's tail and bird's beak.
