George Jones Majolica Oak Tree Compote

Victorian, circa 1870. 5.5ins high, 8.7ins wide, 8.7ins depth. George Jones Majolica compote which features an oak tree with acorns leaves.

Colouration: turquoise, pink, green, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '2959'. English diamond registration mark for the date ????.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the top.

RESTORATION. Top reattached to base and joins retouched.

Stabilised and retouched cracks to one side of the top.
