Pair Small Minton Majolica Pitchers With Mask Spouts

Victorian, circa 1871. Tallest is 8.1ins high, 3.7ins wide, 4.7ins depth. Pair of Minton Majolica jug/pitchers which feature shells arranged in quatrefoil shapes.

Colouration: cobalt blue, ochre, grey, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, '596'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1871.

Some wear to thumb piece.

Dent to top of lid.

KILN EFFECTS: glaze misses to the base edge.
