Holdcroft Majolica Floral Jardiniere & Stand

Victorian, circa 1880. 9.4ins high, 9.1ins wide, 9.1ins depth. Holdcroft Majolica jardinière and stand which features a basket weave exterior with dog rose blossom and leaves.

Colouration: brown, green, turquoise, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Holdcroft pottery. Bears a pattern number, '7'.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Jardiniere: Good. No restoration. Some flakes to rim, flowers and leaves.

Some wear to interior.

KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln grit caught in the glaze around the feet.

 

Stand: Good. No restoration. A couple of small flakes to exterior.

KILN EFFECTS: small firing pit to interior.
