
Victorian, circa 1875. 11ins high, 9.1ins wide, 9.1ins depth. Wedgwood Majolica cheese keep which features yellow primroses and a basket weave border. Cobalt blue ground version.
Colouration: green, ochre, brown, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Wedgwood pottery.
Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1875.
CONDITION: Cover: Generally good.
Flaking to base rim and white beaded border.
Slight wear to the high points of the molding,
handle and ground.
Light scratches in places.
KILN EFFECTS: patches of thin glaze application to the side.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack to rim running up side.
