Minton Majolica Cherub Vase

Victorian, circa 1875. 13.8ins high, 12.6ins wide, 8.3ins depth. Minton Majolica vase which features climbing cherubs and water lillies.

Cobalt blue ground version. Colouration: turquoise, green, ochre, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1732'.

Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1875.

Condition

CONDITION: Good.

Slight wear to exterior.

RESTORATION. Reglued right wing and left foot to one cherub

and tip of right wing to other cherub, joins retouched.

Filled chips to some of the lillies petals

and one cherub's wing.
