
Victorian, circa 1871. 6.3ins high, 6.7ins wide, 4.9ins depth. Minton Majolica jug/pitcher which features oak leaves and acorns and a snail molded on the handle.
Colouration: brown, green, ochre, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '553'.
Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1871.
CONDITION: Generally good.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze pops to the interior;
glaze run to the brown enamel;
touch mark to one of the acorns.
RESTORATION. Two tight, stabilised (but not over-sprayed) hairlines to rim.
