Minton Majolica Wheat & Bramble Jug/Pitcher

Victorian, circa 1857. 8.3ins high, 7.5ins wide, 7.1ins depth. Minton Majolica jug/pitcher which features wheat and hops.

Colouration: puce, ochre, cobalt blue, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, '530'. English diamond registration mark for the date ??/01/1857. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1858.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Very Good. No restoration. KILN EFFECTS: small firing pit to the rim;

glaze run to some of the cobalt and green enamel.
