Minton Majolica Gun Dog Game Pie Dish With Liner

Victorian, circa 1870. 8.3ins high, 14.2ins wide, 7.3ins depth. Minton Majolica game pie dish with liner which features a hunting dog asleep next to a rifle, a powder flask and a game bag.

Colouration: cream, green, brown, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '964'.

Condition

CONDITION: Cover: Very good. No restoration.

Dish: Good.

KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the interior.

RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched star crack to rim.

Liner: Good. No restoration.

KILN EFFECTS: Shrinkage crack to interior.
