
Victorian, circa 1886. Tallest is 9.4ins high, 8.7ins wide, 7.5ins depth. Pair of Lonitz Majolica planters which feature partridges and chicks stood in front of bulrushes.
Colouration: green, brown, yellow, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Lonitz pottery.
Bears a pattern number, '1448 & 1449'.
CONDITION: Right facing: Good.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to the partridge's right leg.
RESTORATION. Filled chips to two beaks and four leaves.
Retouched flakes to leaves.
Left facing: Generally good.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to the partridge's left ankle.
RESTORATION. Filled chips to leaves.
Retouched flakes to leaves and base.
