Majolica Glazed Parian Figure of Highland Mary

Victorian, circa 1870. 17.5ins high, 6.5ins wide, 6.1ins depth. Majolica glazed Parian figure of 'Highland Mary', from the Robert Burns poems. She is standing, holding a book and wearing a cape. Thistles adorn the base.

Colouration: green, lilac, cream, are predominant.

Maker's mark, enscribed, 'M' and painted 'F', to the underside.

Condition

CONDITION: Very good. No restoration.

KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the green glaze.
