
Victorian, circa 1870. 4.1ins high, 19.1ins wide, 8.7ins depth. George Jones Majolica fish server which features a salmon laying on a bed of leaves.
Colouration: brown, green, grey, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '2763'.
CONDITION: Cover: Generally good.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack to rim.
Filled chip to tail fin.
Retouched flake to nose.
Dish: Generally good.
Feint hairline to the interior.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the interior.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched hairline to rim.
Filled chips to inner rim.
White pads stuck to underside, to prevent a wobble.
