Wedgwood Majolica Primrose Cheese Keeper

Victorian, circa 1876. 10.2ins high, 9.1ins wide, 9.1ins depth. Wedgwood Majolica cheese keep which features yellow primroses and a basket weave border.

Cobalt blue ground version.

Colouration: brown, cobalt blue, green, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Wedgwood pottery.

Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1876.

Condition

CONDITION: Cover: Good.

Small flake to base edge.

Staining to the interior from use.

RESTORATION. Reglued handle with stabilised and retouched crack underneath.

Base: Very good. No restoration.

Light scratches from use. Some wear to interior.
