Staffordshire Pottery Hen on Nest Tureen

Victorian, circa 1860. 6.1ins high, 7.5ins wide, 5.7ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery egg tureen and cover which features a hen sitting with her eggs, resting on a basketweave oval base.

Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration. A few paint losses to white spots and hen's head.

Nest: Good. No restoration. Small chip to inner rim.
