Mini Staffordshire Hen on Nest Tureen

Victorian, circa 1860. 3.5ins high, 3.7ins wide, 3ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery tureen with cover which features a hen, seated on an oval basketweave tureen base.

Multi-coloured version. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Hen: Good. No restoration. Slight paint losses and abrasions.

Nest: Good. No restoration. A few paint losses to the rim.

KILN EFFECTS: tiny glaze pops to the interior.

Tight shrinkage line on the inside.
