Staffordshire Pottery Hen on Nest

Victorian, circa 1860. 6.1ins high, 6.9ins wide, 5.1ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery tureen with cover which features a hen, seated on a basket base.

Multi-coloured version. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Raised 'IV' marks to the underside of tureen.

Condition

CONDITION: Hen: Good. No restoration. A few abrasions to hen's tail.

A few paint losses to the hen's speckles.

Nest: Good. A few small flakes to exterior of nest.

Very slight wear.

RESTORATION. Filled chip to the flange.
