Victorian, circa 1860. 8.5ins high, 9.6ins wide, 7.1ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery tureen with cover which features a hen with her chicks,

seated on an oval basketweave tureen base.

Multi-coloured version. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Condition

CONDITION: Hen: Good. No restoration.

A few paint losses to rim and feathers.

KILN EFFECTS: firing hole to the tail.

Nest: Good. No restoration.

Flake to inner rim.

A few paint losses to rim.

Slight wear to exterior and interior.

KILN EFFECTS: tiny glaze pops to exterior.
