
Circa 1890. 12.2ins high, 12.2ins wide, 3.3ins depth. Mafra Portuguese Palissy Majolica wall plate which features fish, an eel and snails.
Colouration: green, brown, cream, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Mafra pottery.
CONDITION: Very Good. Some flakes and chips to shredded clay ground.
KILN EFFECTS: touch mark to the underside.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to side of eel.
Retouched flake to belly of middle fish.
