Mafra Palissy Majolica Toads Plate

Circa 1890. 8.1ins high, 8.1ins wide, 2.4ins depth. Mafra Majolica wall plate which features toads and insects.

Colouration: green, brown, ochre, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Mafra pottery.

CONDITION: Good.

Some small flakes to toad's back and to ground.

RESTORATION. Remodelled leg on both beetles.
