French Palissy Majolica Fish Wall Platter

Circa 1890. 7.5ins high, 11.6ins wide, 2.4ins depth. French Palissy Majolica wall plate which features a fish, frog, shells and leaves.

Colouration: blue, green, cream, are predominant.

Condition

CONDITION: Good.

KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the ground;

glaze run to the glazes.

RESTORATION. A few small retouched flakes to the rim and leaves.

Filled firing crack to one leaf.

Filled chip to rim.
