
Circa 1870. 19.7ins high, 26.8ins wide, 3.9ins depth. School of Paris French Palissy Majolica wall platter which features a spiny lobster,
snake, frogs, lizard, insects, shells and leaves.

Colouration: cobalt blue, green, brown, are predominant.









CONDITION: Good.
KILN EFFECTS: over glazed shrinkage lines to the under rim, lizard, frogs and insects.









RESTORATION. A small number of stabilised hairlines to the lobster's legs (no overpainting).



Two stabilised and retouched cracks to rim - one associated with lizards tail.
