
Circa 1875. 12.6ins high, 17.9ins wide, 2.8ins depth. Thomas Sergent French Palissy Majolica wall platter which features three fish, an eel, a snake, a lizard, a crayfish and a frog. Colouration: brown, green, orange, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Thomas Sergent pottery.
CONDITION: Good. Chips to antennae on crayfish.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze.
RESTORATION. Remodelled legs to crayfish.
Eel's head reglued and join retouched.
