
Circa 1890. 8.3ins high, 8.3ins wide, 2.8ins depth. Mafra Portuguese Palissy Majolica wall plate which features a lizard, a snake, beetle and a grub.
Colouration: green, grey, brown, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Mafra pottery. Bears a pattern number, '8'.
CONDITION: Good.
Some small flakes to ground.
RESTORATION. Lizard's head reglued and join retouched.
Remodelled beetle's horn and hind right leg.
Filled chip to the reverse, on the foot rim.
