
Circa 1890. 16.1ins high, 16.1ins wide, 3.9ins depth. Mafra Portuguese Palissy Majolica charger which features a large frog (an african bull frog?) with a snake, lizards and a beetle.
Colouration: green, brown, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Mafra pottery.
CONDITION: Good. No restoration. Small flakes to small toad's eyes, shredded clay and foot rim.
KILN EFFECTS: a fleck of brown coloured glaze to the snake.
