
Circa 1880. 15.4ins high, 22ins wide, 5.1ins depth. Choisy Majolica wall platter which features fish, crustaceans, a frog, a tortoise, a beetle, a snail, shells and foliage. Water effect ground.
Colouration: brown, green, blue, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Choisy pottery. Bears a pattern number, '137'.

RESTORATION. Filled and retouched flaw to leaf near large fish's tail.
Filled chip to frog's top lip,

and two to under rim.
