Avelino Soares Belo Majolica Palissy Fish in Net Wall Plate

Circa 1900. 13.8ins high, 13.8ins wide, 3ins depth. Avelino Soares Belo Portuguese Palissy Majolica wall plate which features fish and prawns caught in a net.

Colouration: brown, green, cream, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Avelino Soares Belo pottery.

Condition

CONDITION: Fair.

Some small flakes to shredded clay ground.

RESTORATION. Remodelled one pillar

and top of another pillar.

Filled chips to tail on each fish.

Retouched parts of net. Some parts of net missing and tidied up.
