George Jones Majolica Acorn Match Box and Cover

Victorian, circa 1880. 2ins high, 3.9ins wide, 2.4ins depth. George Jones Majolica match holder which features oak leaves and acorns.

Colouration: ochre, brown, dark pink, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1441'.

Condition

CONDITION: Cover: Good. No restoration.

Small chip to flange on underside of lid.

KILN EFFECTS: a couple of glaze misses to the brown ground.

Box: Very good. No restoration.
