George Jones Majolica Bulrush and Lily Jug/Pitcher

Victorian, circa 1870. 6.3ins high, 5.1ins wide, 4.3ins depth. George Jones Majolica jug/pitcher which features green leaves, bulrushes/cattails and water lilies.

Brown ground version.

Colouration: green, brown, ochre, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, '1800'.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration.

Some small flakes to rim.

Wear to the high points of the molding.

KILN EFFECTS: firing hole to interior;

shrinkage line to the handle and one to top part of jug.
