Holdcroft Majolica Figural Garden Seat

Victorian, circa 1880. 16.9ins high, 11.8ins wide, 11.8ins depth. Holdcroft Majolica garden seat which features a boy sat in bull rushes (cattails), bird perched knee, supporting a red-buttoned cushion top.

Colouration: cobalt blue, green, black, are predominant.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Good.

Tight hairline to edge of seat.

Scratches from use to the seat.

Wear to the high points of the molding.

RESTORATION. Bird,

left foot

and top of bulrush reglued and joins retouched.

Filled chip to corner of cushion.
