Minton Majolica Wine Cooler with Lion Paw Feet

Victorian, circa 1865. 16.5ins high, 13.8ins wide, 11.8ins depth. Minton Majolica wine cooler which features ring handles and lion paw feet.

Colouration: cobalt blue, ochre, green, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1083'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1865.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. Some small flakes to legs and to cobalt ground.

KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the interior.

RESTORATION. One foot reglued and join retouched.
