
Victorian, circa 1876. 3.3ins high, 7.7ins wide, 3.1ins depth. Minton Majolica teapot which features a cockerel.
Colouration: brown, green, puce, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1909'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1876.

CONDITION: Teapot: Good. KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks to the rim;
firing hole to near rim.
RESTORATION. Retouched flakes to beak.
Filled chip under left foot.
Cover: Very good. No restoration. KILN EFFECTS: stilt marks to the inner rim;
small firing pit to ground.
