English Majolica Wicker Basket Planter

Victorian, circa 1870. 5.9ins high, 6.5ins wide, 5.5ins depth. Unidentified English Majolica planter which features two handles and woven basketweave ground.

Colouration: lilac, turquoise, ochre, are predominant.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration. Small flake to rim.

KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to base of two of the handles;

flecks of stray coloured glaze to the interior;

craze lines to the interior.
