Minton Majolica Dish, Cover and Stand

Victorian, circa 1859. 4.7ins high, 8.3ins wide, 8.3ins depth. Minton Majolica dish with cover which features leaves and blossom. Crochet lace. Twig handles.

Colouration: cobalt blue, grey, green, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, '498'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1859.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Cover: Very good. No restoration. Flake to interior rim, associated with stilt mark.

Dish: Very good. No restoration. KILN EFFECTS: a few glaze pops to the interior.

Stand: Very good. No restoration. Very slight wear to the front.
