
Victorian, circa 1880. 6.9ins high, 6.9ins wide, 6.3ins depth. Holdcroft Majolica box and cover which features birds, tree rats on bamboo, blossom and parrot feet.
Colouration: cobalt blue, green, turquoise, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Holdcroft pottery. Bears a pattern number, '28'.
CONDITION: Cover: Good.
Very light scratching in places.
Almost no wear.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to corner.
Base: Generally good.
RESTORATION. Two feet reglued and join retouched.
Stabilised and retouched crack to rim.
Filled chips to rim, beaks and faces to birds.
