George Jones Majolica Jungle Leaves Plate

Victorian, circa 1870. 9.1ins high, 9.1ins wide, 1.3ins depth. George Jones Majolica plate which features a variety of jungle leaves to the border. Colouration: green, turquoise, brown, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, '3230'.

(A ring of slightly darker colour in the centre, where the foot is molded to the underside. Perhaps a sign that this has been used as an under-tray. But not conclusive.)

 

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration. Almost nil wear. Slight staining to center.
