
Victorian, circa 1874. 5.7ins high, 9.3ins wide, 9.3ins depth. Wedgwood Majolica compote which features a printed zoological study of butterflies and flowers. The foot features eagle heads.
Colouration: white, green, yellow, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Wedgwood pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1595'.
Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1874.
CONDITION: Generally good.
Some flakes to wings.
Very slight wear.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray brown, under the glaze to the top.
RESTORATION. A sections of the pierced rim reglued and joins retouched.
